Young and Supremely Blessed Inc.’s mission is to empower underserved and marginalized
communities—particularly individuals who are blind, visually impaired, deafblind, low-income
children, and those experiencing homelessness by providing essential resources, adaptive
education, and compassionate support. We strive to make a meaningful impact through
inclusive outreach, advocacy, and strategic partnerships that foster dignity, independence, and
hope.
The purpose of Young and Supremely Blessed Inc.’s organization is to bridge the gap between
need and access, addressing both immediate and long-term challenges faced by vulnerable
populations. By supporting holistic well-being, we aim to uplift individuals through programs
that provide school supplies to children from low-income families, warm meals and hygiene kits
for the homeless, and tailored rehabilitation services for those living with vision or hearing loss.
Our work is sustained through a nonprofit model that collaborates with for-profit partners to
ensure financial viability and broader community reach.
Founded by Sherria D. Young, an experienced and compassionate professional with a strong
background in serving blind, visually impaired, and deafblind individuals, the organization
brings together expertise in education, rehabilitation, assistive technology, and community
engagement. Sherria D. Young, the founder has a deep understanding of assessing individual
needs, teaching adaptive daily living skills, and promoting psychosocial adjustment to sensory
loss. In addition, the organization offers instruction in Braille and essential independent living
skills, empowering individuals to navigate their environments safely and confidently. With
further strengths in case management, counseling, and collaborative care, we are well-
equipped to develop individualized support plans that make a lasting difference.
A key aspect of our model involves partnering with for-profit businesses to sell retail items such
as books, t-shirts, jewelry, and oils. A portion of the proceeds from these sales directly supports
our community initiatives. This includes providing backpacks filled with school supplies to
children as they prepare for a successful school year, and distributing essential items such as
meals, hygiene products, blankets, coats, hats, gloves, and socks to those experiencing
homelessness. Collaborations with organizations like God’s Given Hands, myself, and other local
vendors further amplify our reach and impact, allowing us to serve more individuals in
meaningful, life-changing ways.
With grant funding, we aim to expand our outreach capacity, increase the number of
individuals we serve annually, and strengthen our community partnerships. Your support will
directly enhance our ability to deliver life-changing services to those who need them most and
ensure that our mission continues to grow with lasting, measurable impact.
